Thorndown Primary School is well used by the local community throughout the week.

Kingfisher Out of School Club (run by the school) provide wrap around care for children from 7.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. during school days. They also provide care during the holiday periods according to the demand for places. .

Thorndown has always been used by this community group. The church services and Sunday School take place every week throughout the whole year. New members are always welcome.
