Welcome to Year 3 at Thorndown!
Hello everyone and welcome to the Year 3 page. Year 3 is an exciting year because you are now in Key Stage 2! Here, you will find out a little bit of information about each of the teachers and will also find key information that may be helpful.
There is so much to cram in, making sure that children transition comfortably into Key Stage 2 and comprehensively build on the strong foundations of learning that they already have. The children’s responsibility and independence increases over the year and we really work to piece together the jigsaw pieces of their learning journey thus far!
Our teachers in Year Three this year are Miss Collins, Mrs Mills and Mrs Dargaville.
Miss Collins teaches in Lemur Class.
Miss Collins loves reading, cooking new meals and going to the gym. She also enjoys sewing her own clothes.
Mrs Mills and Mrs Dargaville teach in Meerkat Class.
Mrs Mills loves walking, being in her garden and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs Dargaville loves running, and exploring new places. She likes cooking (and eating!) new foods, and relaxes with a good book and a cup of tea.
